Adam Field Pottery Workshop
Adam Field, a Montana artist who works in porcelain using the potter's wheel, is known for his elegant forms and his intricate, decorative carving. Over a two-day period, he will be working with clay in East Hall.

Creating Engaging Discussion Topics (D2L)
These sessions will review what is a discussion and how it can be used in the classroom (F2F, Blended or Online). We will use D2L to review and create Forums (categories), Topics and Threads. We will review how to set up assessments of discussions, create date restrictions and review other restriction options.

Question Development and Library Creation
These sessions will review the best practices in creating questions, types of questions that can be used and when these question types can be used. We will be using Respondus Test Creation software and D2L to review different question set up and requirements. Adding images to questions, creating pools for random questions and randomizing answers associated with questions for a more secure test.

Porreco College Open House

Porreco College, the Community’s College, will host Open House events for students interested in enrolling in its affordable, high-quality certificate and associate degree programs on the first Tuesday of every month from 3 to 7 p.m.

No registration is required for the information sessions, which will take place in the lobby of the red barn classroom complex. Porreco College is located at 2951 W. 38th St., Erie, on bus Route 21/28.

Planetarium Show: The Sky Is Falling

Local meteorite expert Scott McKenzie of Mercyhurst University will be here to show off his collection and enlighten the public about meteorites.  Tonight is a great night to bring in that suspected "meteorite" and get an expert's opinion! 

Located on the Edinboro University campus at 169 Cooper Hall, the EU Planetarium is starting 2015 fresh with its spring programs.  All shows are free to the public, but seating is limited so reservations are required.

Reservations can be made by calling 732-2493 or by visiting our website at www.edinboro.edu/planetariumIf weather permits, the university’s observatory will be open for viewing after all planetarium programs!

EU Athletics' Make-A-Wish Night
Make-A-Wish Night, which celebrates the Fighting Scots' tremendous fundraising success and the wonderful work that Make-A-Wish does for children, will be held Wednesday, Feb. 4, at McComb Fieldhouse.

In addition to women's and men's basketball games vs. Gannon University, the event will include recognition of the more than $20,000 that EU Athletics has raised for Make-A-Wish in the last two years -- the most in PSAC and one of the most successful efforts in all of NCAA Division II. The night will also include a very special surprise.

Donations can be made online at to the Athletic Department. Studentathletes also will once again be selling stars at Rose Hall and throughout campus for just $1. The stars will be displayed in the McComb Fieldhouse lobby that night.

Introduction to Blackboard Collaborate
Blackboard Collaborate is a videoconference solution supported by the PASSHE system. This application can be used to conduct conferences, virtual course sessions, online office hours, meetings between departments or community individuals.

In these introductory sessions you will be introduced to the basic application of using Blackboard as a student. How to review desktop sharing, website reviews, uploading content for presentations and using the whiteboard in a virtual environment. You will be able to set up a profile and audio settings to ensure your system is set up for these sessions.
