Al Stone Lecture Series - Songs That Disarm and Charm presented by Kelly Armor
Kelly Armor presents "Songs That Disarm and Charm: Traditional Children’s Songs From Erie’s Newest Americans." Hear a few of the almost 100 songs collected by Kelly Armor, how they bond parents and children, and how they are powerful weapons against bigotry and injustice. Kelly Armor is a musician, ethnomusicologist and Folk Art Director at Erie Arts & Culture. She has been working with refugee artists who have resettled in Erie since 2003.

Art Talk by Dr. Lorraine Justice
International keynote speaker and product-design expert Dr. Lorraine Justice, industrial design expert at Rochester Institute of Technology, will present an art talk at Edinboro University on Thursday, Oct. 3.

A 1977 graduate of Edinboro University, Justice owns and operates the firm Justice Designs and is a frequent TED Talks presenter – an expert on innovative design. Justice will present “The Future of Design” at 7 p.m. in the Pogue Student Center and meet with students on Friday. Her art talk is free and open to the public.

Battle of the One Acts!
The University Players presents a one-act competition where student directors of the Diebold theatre community direct and produce the plays performed and the audience rates each play and decides which play is victorious. This variety of one-act plays is bound to guarantee a night of leisure, laughter, and entertainment. Movies are shown Wednesdays at 8 p.m.; Thursdays at 8 p.m.; Fridays at 5, 8 and 11 p.m.; Saturdays at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m. Admission and POPCORN are free for Edinboro students with a valid University ID. General admission is $1 per person, per movie.
