We are excited that you are considering applying to be a member of the Residence Life & Housing Team for the 2020-2021 Academic Year! Resident Assistants oversee the residential students and promote campus involvement through the new RLH Community Development Plan. The RA serves as a role model who is approachable and accessible to students in the residence halls and throughout the campus community. Resident Assistants must have a thorough knowledge of the campus and its services in order to serve as a resource and referral agent for students. The individual provides proactive leadership for resident students to develop and maintain an environment where they (1) feel a sense of belonging to the Edinboro University family; (2) are respected by fellow residents and university personnel, (3) and are safe, comfortable, and secure in their living quarters. The RA position is an appointment period of one academic year and building placement is based on residential and departmental needs. The RA must reside on-campus. In order to be considered in our process every potential candidate must attend one of the many Interest Sessions offered from 10/28 to 12/11. The position description and expectations of the RA will be provided at the Interest Session. We will also discuss the timeline and requirements of RA Selection process. Please see attachment to find the location of each session! See you there!
