Donnie Irish Band Benefit Concert
One of Pittsburgh’s top local bands will be performing a special benefit concert at Molly Brannigan’s in Erie on Saturday.

The Donnie Irish Band will perform at Molly’s from 7-10 p.m., with all proceeds benefitting the Ryan Cappelletty Scholarship at Edinboro University. The Donnie Irish Band is fronted by Ricky Manning, a detective sergeant with the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Department who is also known as “Pittsburgh’s Singing Detective.”

The concert is free, but in support of Manning’s tradition of dedicating his performances to honor military, law enforcement and other first responders, donations are being directed to the Ryan Cappelletty Scholarship Fund. Cappelletty was a McDowell High School and Edinboro University criminal justice graduate who was shot and killed in the line of duty during his first year of service as a police officer in Chesterfield County, Va.
