As part of Women's History Month, Dr. Kathleen Golden's COMM 331 Group Performance class will share the works of literature by and about women from across the globe. Time for discussion will follow the performances.

The Struggle on Film: Miss Representation
Dr. Kathleen Golden of the Communication, Journalism and Media Department; Ms. Rosmari Graham, Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs; and graduate students Ms. Tara Heubel and Ms. Rachael Elliot will lead a discussion following the screening of "Miss Representation." Miss Representation (2011) is a documentary exploring the marginalization of women in today’s world. This powerful documentary was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival in 2011. The film will be screened and a discussion will follow.

Women's Empowerment Panel
The School of Business has assembled a panel of women in business and non-profit organizations for Women’s History Month. The panel will offer insights into the experiences and the knowledge of the women entrepreneurs and leaders. The discussion is designed to engage the audience by asking the panelists questions relevant to the growth of all students as professionals. The panel discussion will be open to all students, Edinboro faculty, staff and the community.

This year’s panel, featuring Dr. Shuang Feng and Dr. Jingze Jiang, will focus on the three highlighted areas:
1. Challenges and Opportunities for female entrepreneurs and leaders
2. The strategies for starting and managing a woman-led business/organization
3. The risk-taking for female entrepreneur and leaders
4. Mentoring and networking
