The Art of Practicing Institute (Multi-Day Event)
In its third summer in residency at Edinboro University, the Art of Practicing Institute will take place from Saturday, July 25, 2015 through Saturday, August 1, 2015. It offers instruction in mindfulness techniques, discussion groups, and music workshops, with founding teacher Madeline Bruser and senior teachers of the Institute, culminating in a final concert.

The concluding concert will be held in the Recital Hall at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015.

Movies Under the Stars presents "Interstellar"

Enjoy summer evenings under the stars while watching classic movies hosted by The Community’s College. Beginning Thursday, July 23, and continuing through August 20, Porreco College will host “Movies Under the Stars” each Thursday.

The evening begins with children's activities at 8, followed by the movie at 9. 

Admission and parking for the film screenings are free. Attendees need only bring blankets and lawn chairs to relax outdoors on the beautiful Porreco College campus, located at 2951 West 38th Street in Erie.

​Director Christopher Nolan’s (“The Dark Knight”) blockbuster tale of a team of explorers’ attempt to ensure humanity’s survival by travelling through a wormhole to find a new home planet for mankind as the environment of our near-future Earth becomes increasingly unlivable. The critically acclaimed saga features an all-star cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine.
