Auditions for Battle of the One Acts!
Audition for a chance to be a part of a one-act competition where student directors of the Diebold theatre community direct and produce the plays performed and the audience rates the plays and decide which play is victorious. This variety of one-act plays is bound to guarantee a night of leisure, laughter, and entertainment. Location: Diebold Center for the Performing Arts 217 Meadville St, Edinboro, PA 16412 Audition Dates: August 27th - 29th from 6PM - 9PM September 3rd-5th from 6PM - 9PM Performance Dates: Sept 26, 27, 28 & Oct 3, 4, 5 @ 7:30 PM Sept. 29 & Oct 6 @ 2:30 PM Audition Details: -Open to all EU students, faculty, and any members of the Edinboro/Erie Community! -No previous theatre experience is required to participate. All are welcome. -Audition forms will be available at the theatre. -Headshots are not mandatory but are helpful for the director's when casting. -Be prepared to do a cold reading. -Come with a full list of any conflicts you may have during the rehearsal and performance periods (September 6th to October 6th). -If you are interested in contributing in other ways such as costumes, design, set construction, lights or soundboard or other, please attend or contact us! Jefferson Educational Society Lecture Series
Jefferson Educational Society, a nonprofit civic-engagement institution founded in 2008, will bring an educational lecture series to Edinboro University – with regional experts delivering educational presentations from July through December.

Lectures will begin at 7 p.m. in the William P. Alexander Music Center – Recital Hall and are free and open to the public.

Aug. 27 – Ashley Lawson, “Blue Zones: Where are We Now, Where are we Headed?” A member of the Erie Reader’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2019, Lawson is a public policy advocate for the Blue Zones Project in Corry, Pa. She also serves as secretary and treasurer on the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of Directors and is president of the Civic Leadership Academy Alumni Network for the Jefferson Education Society.
