These sessions have been set up for users who are interested in or may have recently switched between Microsoft Windows to the Apple OS. These sessions will review the following items and compare how they are completed between Windows and Apple. How to locate files and applications, installation and uninstallation of software, the keychain function, your computer information, personal computer set up options and short cuts. These sessions will also review application that come standard with Maverick and how they can help enhance your productivity. Al Stone Lecture Series
The lectures begin at 9:30 A.M. in the basement floor of the Diebold Center for the Performing Arts, Edinboro University. The environment is friendly, encourages dialogue, is free and open to the public. Blue parking passes for campus parking are available at the university police station and will be valid for the series. Non-campus parking may be found on surrounding streets. Lectures are given by retired and active faculty in the area as well as individuals with special expertise.

Dr. Harned is currently a professor of international relations at Mercyhurst and a scholar of eastern European politics.

Dr. Morrison is a professor of economics at Edinboro University.

Dr. Robert Rhodes
"The Future of the Democratic and Republican Parties"
Dr. Rhodes is a retired professor of political science from Edinboro University.

Dr. Jim LoPresto
"Inflationary Cosmology"
Dr. LoPresto is a professor of physics, recently retired, from Edinboro University.

Oct. 9
Dr. David Ferster
"John Berry: Two-Fisted Father of the U.S. Navy"
Dr. Ferster is a retired professor of political science from Edinboro University.

Oct. 16
Dr. Jim Fisher
"The Problems of Personhood: Abortion and Beyond"
Dr. Fisher is currently the chair of the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice at Edinboro University.

Trivia Night & Auction
Test your knowledge of Edinboro University, local and general trivia during EU Trivia Night – Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Van Houten North. The fun begins with social time at 5 p.m., followed by an international buffet of food stations at 5:45 p.m., and trivia competition beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Competition will be fierce! All Edinboro employees, alumni and friends over the age of 21 are invited to participate, so gather a team of eight and reserve a table. The cost is $20 per person (whether you are playing trivia or not) or $160 per team table, which covers dinner. There will be a beer and wine donation bar.

As an incentive, if your team submits a gift basket for the silent auction, your team cost will be $140 per table instead of $160.

Competition includes three rounds of trivia questions plus a bonus round, as well as live and silent auctions, music and dancing. Prizes will be awarded to the top two teams.

Don’t miss this chance to be the first Edinboro University Trivia Champs. Get your team together, create a team name and complete the registration form here. Registration forms and fees are due to the Advancement Office by September 8, 2014. Space is limited, so submit your registration form before all of the tables are reserved.

All proceeds benefit the Edinboro University Study Abroad Scholarship which provides funds to help our students Study Abroad through short-term and semester/year-long opportunities. Our students participate in short-term trips to Scotland, Poland, China, Mexico, Japan, South Africa, Italy and Ireland, and have enrolled in semester-long study in the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Poland and many other locations.

He Said, She Said is an English drawing room comedy by Alice Gerstenberg.

The Meatball Says No by Clay Nielsen. The story centers around Jessica and Matt who are a couple. One night, they meet for dinner and Matt decides to tell Jessica they need to stop seeing each other because a talking meatball toy has advised it.

Legends of the Night Sky
Your favorite Greek mythological characters set to laser light at the Edinboro University Planetarium! Perseus, Andromeda and more will dazzle in the night sky. Learn how to find them in your backyard during the signature "what's up" portion of the program! Doors open at 6:30pm. Admission is free, but space is limited. Reservations are required.
