7th Annual Celebration of Scholarship

12:00 PM - 06:00 PM

Abstracts are being accepted now through Monday, April 5, for Edinboro University’s 7th Annual Celebration of Scholarship. The event, which showcases the academic achievements of Edinboro students, will be held virtually for all attendees on Wednesday, April 21, from noon to 6 p.m.

Organized by the Center for Faculty Excellence with support from Friends of the Baron-Forness Library, Celebration of Scholarship is open to all Edinboro students who are interested in presenting and discussing their research, scholarship or works of creativity.

Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to submit abstracts or project overviews of 800 characters or less (about 150 words) online by 5 p.m. on April 5.

Appropriate entries include faculty-supervised independent research or creative projects, independent study, and scholarly or creative projects in upper-level courses conducted by either an individual or a small group of students. There is no cost to participate.

Students will provide an overview of their projects and field questions via Gather Town, a web-based video platform. The virtual medium can accommodate a wide array of presentation formats, including video, recorded readings and slideshows (5 minutes or less) as well as traditional posters. All participants must be available to present their work on April 21 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m..

Attendees are asked to register by 5 p.m. on April 14. Questions should be directed to Dr. Ron Craig, director of the Center for Faculty Excellence, at cfe@edinboro.edu.
