The Dr. James Drane Bioethics Institute presents guest speaker Dr. Jeff Weiser on Monday, Oct. 11, from 3-4:30 p.m. in Butterfield Hall Room 143.
Dr. Wiser is a graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (EU). After graduating from EU, he attended Temple University School of Medicine and followed that to complete a Family Medicine residency at St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Residency in Erie, PA. Currently, Dr. Wiser is the Interim Director of the Oregon Area Health Education Center (AHEC). He regularly works with students and other learners as they learn about healthcare in rural Oregon. He is also the Director of Medical Student Rural Education for the Department of Family Medicine, where he designs and directs curriculum tailored to educate the specific needs of the rural and urban underserved population. In 2021, he won the Frances Biagioli, MD, Outstanding Didactic Teaching Award.
