Flutist and award-winning author Gemma Stemley will perform at noon Thursday in Van Houten Dining Hall as part of PennWest’s Women’s History Month celebration.
Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Stemley will play Calypso, a style of Caribbean music; Bossa Nova, the music of Brazil; and the infectious rhythms of Jamaican Reggae, Mento and Dancehall.
The performance is open to the public and sponsored by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
